Stories From A World of Music

Route have teamed up with Musicport to produce a book of stories collected over the festival weekend. At any festival gathering, people get together to share stories and music related experiences. This year, a team of writers will be on hand to capture and celebrate these stories that demonstrate the rich link between music and our lives. Led by Bringing It All Back Home author Ian Clayton, the writers will be on site gathering stories from the whole festival community, including audience members, musicians, crew, traders, volunteers etc So here’s a chance for festival goers to preserve their stories and contribute to a fantastically rich documentary project.

The book will be produced shortly after the festival and festival goers will be able to order an exclusive limited and numbered edition of the book over the weekend.

Musicport takes place at Bridlington Spa over the weekend 4-6 November. Artists include 12lve (Goldie’s Band), Hugh Masekela, Mary Coughlan, Andy Kershaw, Mari Boine, Kanda Bongo Man, Iain Matthews and many others. Click here for details.
